SUPERMAN OVER METROPOLIS

Superman Over Metropolis, Oil on Canvas, 78’ x 120”

Superman Over Metropolis, Oil on Canvas, 78’ x 120”

The Man of Steel, comic book’s very first super-hero, Superman. Originally published in 1938 in Action Comics #1 by two young, imaginative creators, Joe Shuster and Jerry Siegel, Superman’s adventures captured the hearts and minds of readers all across America. I wanted to catch the essence of Superman flying faster than a speeding bullet, high into the atmosphere above his city of Metropolis. Oh, does that really look a bit like New York?

Meticulously painted with oil on canvas this painting is a gigantic 10 feet tall and 6 1/2 feet wide. It took over a month to complete and because of the thousands of windows required I swore off painting buildings for at least six months…!

THE BATMAN !

THE BATMAN, Oil on Canvas, 78” x 120”

One of the greatest comic book characters ever, BATMAN was created by Bob Kane in 1939.

A crimefighter who scours the night to battle the forces of evil, BATMAN leaps into the air with neither fear nor doubt, his amazingly honed athletic skills and his quick witted mind make him almost invincible. Meticulously created with oil on canvas, THE BATMAN stands alongside the SUPERMAN OVER METROPOLIS as a museum-scale painting measuring 10 foot high by 6 1/2 feet wide.
