Painter, muralist, and Illustrator, Russ Rainbolt, studied fine arts at New York's School of Visual Arts graduating with honors. He went on to work in advertising, illustration, and design in billboards and murals with projects for Yale University, Shubert Theater, New Haven Schools, and Newark International Airport among others. An avid collector of comics, Russ's first major work was the giant-sized 20 by 60 foot American Comic Books Heroes Painting first exhibited for the All-Time Classic Convention in Rochester, New York in 2000. Since then, Russ has been commissioned by conventions to paint larger than life canvases of comic book super stars, as well as writing and drawing for such magazines as The Creeps.
